Nikki joined the EPAWA team in June of 2013. Shes had a passion for all kinds of weather for as long as she can remember, though thunderstorms in particular always fascinated her. When she was a little kid, she would frequently tell her parents that she wanted to grow up to be a storm chaser, just like the ones on TV. However, regardless of her love for weather, she decided to pursue a degree in Math Education after high school and enrolled at TCNJ. One year later, she began to regret her decision as her heart still lied with weather, so she left TCNJ and enrolled at Rutgers University in 2007. In the summer of 2012, she signed up for a brand new storm chasing course that Rutgers had opened up and traveled to the plains with her fellow students where she was able to follow her childhood dream. Shortly afterwards, she received her Bachelors degree in Meteorology in the fall of 2012 and is currently conducting research on a new method for severe weather forecasting that was inspired by her trip to the plains. Nikki currently resides in the busy little town of Mount Laurel, NJ.
