[Frontspiece of Clare with Bonaventure, Thomas Aquinas.] At El Prado Museum in Madrid there is a painting by Peter Paul Rubens (15771640) in which Clare and Bonaventure are pictured with the Western Doctors of the Church: Ambrose, Augustine, Jerome, Gregory the Great and Thomas Aquinas. This is also portrayed in a tapestry at the Convent of the Discalced Poor Clares in Madrid. Omaechevarria included this work in his book on the writings of Saint Clare.
