Dear Chair Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for the City of Evanston Police Department in fiscal year 2010.
The entity to receive funding for this project is the City of Evanston, located at 2100
Ridge, Evanston, IL 60201. The funding would be used to coordinate an inter-agency
agreement/operation in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, &
Explosives and other local law enforcement jurisdictions to undertake an undercover
operation targeting high level gang leaders involved in the sale and distribution of illegal
narcotics and illegal handguns. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial
interest in this project.
