Troop Leadership Pre-Election Ballot Request

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL)


The Assistant Patrol Leader (ASPL) serves as the SPLs assistant and takes his place when he is absent. The ASPL attends all PLCs but is not a voting member. Requirements: To become an ASPL a Scout must meet the following criteria: Active status At least 1st Class rank Have successfully held an elected troop leadership position Specific Duties: Serves as SPL when the SPL is not in attendance. Provides updates at the PLC for the respective teams they are responsible for (i.e. Troop leadership or Patrols). Attends the PLC. Sets a good example. Wears the uniform properly and to all Troop meetings and activities. Lives by the scout oath and Law. The tenure of this position is for 6 months. To receive leadership credit for this position the ASPL must participate in a minimum of 75% Troop and PLC meetings as measured from COH to COH.

I have read the above and understand the specific requirements and duties for this position and understand the requirements if I want to earn leadership credit for this position and wish to run for the position in the Troop election.
