Nowadays there are more opportunities for women than there were in the past.

Some people think this situation has caused more problems than it has solved. What are your opinions on this? One cannot deny that there are more chances and opportunities for women these days than there were in the old days. It has been argued that the situation could possibly bring more drawbacks than benefits. However, I personally believe that the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. On the one side of the argument, many people feel that the opportunity range should not be widened for females. One of the most severe problems is that the family bonding would deteriorate. For example, looking at the relationship between wife and husband, we can easily be seen that if the woman earns more salary than the husband or she gains more respect due to her success, the husband will be overshadowed and embarrassed, leading to arguments and discomfort to the whole family. Moreover, not just looking at the couples relationship, but also we should consider the fact that their children would be abandoned while their parents are always busy and soon they would suffer from mental issues due to loneliness and, even worse, unhappiness if their parents separated or divorced. On the other side of the argument, women could bring enormous benefits financially and also morally if they are open to more opportunities. Undoubtedly, the global economy would experience an economic boom if all women went into work. This would increase the productivity and more wealth would be created, considering in both individuals income and national income. One family might possibly lessen their poverty if both parents if both parents go to work, leading to higher standard of living for the whole family including their children. Furthermore, there is no doubt that generations are encouraged and educated when they notice that women have equal opportunities as well as men, and that sexism no longer exists in the modern world. Overally, while some people maintain that women with prospect could create more damage than solving problems, I strongly disagree and claim that women, as equal to men, would definitely bring more benefits if more opportunities are open to them. It is undeniable that women today have been given many more opportunities, both at work and at home, than they were in the past. While some people might argue that such equity will be troublesome, perhaps the majority, my self included, believe that the equality between men and women is crucial and advantageous. Those who opposed men and women equality might argue that such equality will break up families. They say that since the major role of a woman is to take care of family and children, if women are given opportunities to go to work then family and children will not be taken care of anymore. And this argument goes, they believe that when both parents work then children will not be properly supervised, and can easily be tempted to commit crime or are harmed by bad people. Moreover, as both wife and husband work, both of them will be busy and stressed, which might make their relationship get worse. However, that is not necessarily the case. In todays modern world the role of a family care is no longer solely down to women. In fact, in many countries, it is considered normal for the husband to take care of the family and the wife works. Such flexibility helps the responsibility of child-rearing to spread out, becoming less stressful, and also help family to manage its finance more easily. Moreover, studies show that when both wife and husband go to work, they will have a better understanding and sympathy for each other, so, in fact, the relationship might even get better. Moreover, the fact that women going to work means a boom in the workforce, which is very important for economic growth. In conclusion, it is clear that the equality between men and women brings more advantages to both family and society than disadvantages.
