Creating an Eportfolio What is an E-portfolio?

An electronic portfolio, also known as an e-portfolio, is a collection of student work assembled and managed by the student, usually on the Internet. Such work may include inputted text, images, videos, sound recordings, blog entries, and links. An e-portfolio can be a very effective assessment tool for the teacher. Grade 6 students are required to have an eportfolio that contains evidence of their best work. This portfolio is created in class but can be updated anytime from a computer with an internet connection. The address for the students e-portfolio will be their first name and last initial. For example, John Smith would be www.johns.weebly.com. Students go to www.students.weebly.com to edit their eportfolio. Students will need their login and password to E-portfolio Requirements This year, each student will be required to create an electronic portfolio that will be used to showcase individual work. Each student will post samples of work from each subject every term. The teacher may assign more than one post and students may include more than one, but no more than two. Remember QUALITY vs. QUANTITY. In some cases, the teacher may require a particular project to be posted; however, you will normally be allowed to choose which work samplesVisit you want to display for
