MISSION STATEMENT

Established in 1988 and reconstituted by Executive Order No. 16 of August 31, 1990, this
Office oversees the contracting and procurement activity of City agencies and coordinates
various oversight offices which have responsibility for procurement, maintains a
comprehensive contract management information system (VENDEX), contractor
performance records, and contracts with industry and non-profit groups that do business
with the City. The Director is the City's Chief Procurement Officer and also serves as
Clerk to the Franchise and Concession Review Committee.
