VALVESTAR translation

This note describes the steps to translate VALVESTAR into your language. There are three different sources for text in Valvestar: GUI text for Menu, warnings, etc. (Tools->Translation->strings) Text used in calculation and Printout ( Tools->Translation->designations) Text stored in database (Tools->Translation->names)

The first step to enable the translation feature is to change to the superuser mode in the profile. Youll find the path to this option in fig. 1 and 2.

Fig. 2 - Change Application Mode After you achieved the necessary privilege you can select from the menu the different translation-tools (Fig.3).

Fig. 4 Names The right column can be changed. The source- and target language is in the upper screen selectable. Save frequently and dont install newer versions during translation. All data will be lost. Export the file with Export button and send it to LESER. We will add the language to the source database. The functionality for the two other types is similar. The designation contains also symbols which may be different in different countries.

The same procedure can be done with the translation of strings (refer to fig. 3) Choose your language and overwrite the strings in the column Value.
