The following simple procedure shows how the windmill size, tower height and borehole pump size

is determined for a specific water requirement. Please contact us to help you get the right equipment.

STEP 1. PUMPING RATE REQUIREMENT

Determine how much water you need every hour of the day. You can do this by estimating your daily water needs and dividing it by twelve. ( e assume a !" hour usable wind day which is a conservative estimate.#

STEP 2. TOTAL PUMPING HEAD

e will now determine the total pumping head with the following equation$ The total pumpin hea! STEP 5. SELE6T 0HEEL AND 7OREHOLE PUMP SI8E

%o to the Performance page of this website. &ead a wheel size and pump size from the graph using the pumping rate and total head determined in steps ! and ".

STEP 9. SELE6T TO0ER SI8E.

'hoose a tower size that is at least (m (!(ft# higher than the highest wind obstruction as close as !()m (()) ft# to the windmill.

STEP :. PIPES ; RODS

*f the borehole depth is less than !+ m (,)ft#, then () mm pipes with !, mm rods are used. -or all other applications .) mm pipes with !/ mm rods can be used.
