My best entry was my literacy narrative. I believe this was my best entry because it reminded me of techniques I would use to read and study. I also learned how to write better after writing this essay. I hadnt practiced all the techniques that I thought about while writing this essay in a while. This allowed me to be able think clearly when writing my essays and allowed me to have a general layout already made before I finished my essay. I made revisions on my UNC Charlotte History paper. I received a C grade on that paper but it was an extremely topic to do history on. I mainly focused on the comments that were made by my professor. I need to improve my grade on the paper itself and realized that I did make a lot of errors. I went through and corrected most of the errors that I made and then went through touched up on all the comments that my professor made. This portfolio shows how I have progressed over time in my English class. This helps to show how I have changed since my first paper and writing prompts to my last. My grades slowly increased over time and my writing skills improved slightly. This portfolio gives a brief overview of my life and how I see things. It shows the way I write and the way I express myself as a writer. If you put all of this information together, you should be able to tell who I am as a person.

Abbott 2 I think the main thing that I learned was how to cite sources correctly and how to make myself a better writer. This class made me think about things that I hadnt thought of before. By doing our writing prompts and our daily writings, I was able to take other peoples advice about how they write and incorporate it into my writing. I believe this made a better writer as well. We also had class discussions and the professor would tell their methods of writing and reading which could also be related into my ways. The process that I took to write my entries varied for each paper. For my literacy narrative, I wrote numerous writing prompts that related to the paper that helped me have ideas. I took a sheet of paper and wrote out different methods that I used to read and write and then rearranged them in order of most important. I then took this information and just started typing out what I knew and learned and remembered. I then edited this when I finished and it shaped into my final essay. My main weaknesses are my grammar and transitions. Before this year, sourcing my documents could also be added to this list. I definitely have improved at sourcing my documents by the countless writing prompts and essays and our writing workshops that we had in class. I havent really gotten better at my grammar nor my transitions. I usually ask friends to help me read over my paper and make better transitions. They usually help me and try to make suggestions to make my paper better.
