BROILER QUAIL FARMING FEASIBILITY REPORT

FOR 2000 BIRDS /WEEK: TOTAL 1,04,000 PER YEAR

The project report is based on the rearing of quail broilers on continuous basis with a
flock size of 2,000 chicks input every week and output of finished broiler @ 1,800 every
week to be marketed through own transport as door delivery. The retail sale at farm and
better-feed conversion ratio could fetch additional bonus. Yearly input could be 1,04,000
chicks with 93,600 out put of marketable broilers.

• Construction Cost: Rs.100 per sq. ft.

• Space per bird: 0.15 sq.ft
• Cost of Day Old Chick : Rs.4.00/
• Price of Feed per Kg. : Rs.9.00/
• Mortality : 10%
• Live weight at 5 wk. :200-250 gms
• Sale Price of bird: Rs.16.00
• Feed Consumption: 600 gms.
• Feed Conversion Ratio ( Ratio of feed consumed to produce one Kg of live weight) :
2.4-3.0
A) CAPITAL INVESTMENT

Cost of Construction of 300 sq. ft brooding Rs.3,00,000/

and rearing shed with 10 partitions @
Rs.100 per sq. ft.
Cost of equipment for 8000 birds including Rs.40,000/
automatic watering system @ Rs.5/ per
bird.
Cost of other infrastructure like office , Rs.1,00,000/
store room 1000 sq. ft @ Rs.100 / per sq. ft
Cost of 3-wheeler tempo for transportation Rs.50,000/
