The chairman of Rogers Holding who moved to Singapore in 2007 because he believes the centre of the world is moving to Asia, lashes out in an interview at both national political parties and dismisses Goldman Sachs recent report on how it was turning bullish on India because of the possibility that the Bharatiya Janata Partys (BJPs) Narendra Modi could be the countrys next prime minister.

OCTOBER WPI INFLATION AT 7%, STANDS AT 8-MONTH HIGH

October WPI inflation rose to 7 percent, inline with a CNBC-TV18 poll, from September's 6.46 percent. Meanwhile, the August WPI inflation has been revised upwards to 6.99 percent from a provisional figure of 6.1 percent, following which bond yields moved up. at its highest level since February.

FIRST WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWER OPENED 12 YEARS AFTER 9/11

The first office tower at Ground Zero since the September 11, 2001 attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center opened on Wednesday, marking a comeback for the Lower Manhattan site. Sheathed in glass, 4 World Trade Center is the smallest of the four main towers on the site where 2,700 people died when hijacked airplanes crashed into the towers. It stands 977 feet (298 meters) tall, a shorter, simpler version of One World Trade Center, which will not be completed until early 2014.
