NUCLEAR ENERGY

Nuclear Energy Nuclear energy can be a benefit to humanity. Many people think nuclear energy is a danger to the world, although the only positive benefit of nuclear energy is that it produces electricity. Many question the contributions of nuclear energy in the future. There are many positive benefits associated with nuclear energy including it is the third natural resource for electricity, nineteen percent of the countrys electricity comes from nuclear energy and its low production of carbon dioxide. First, one pro of nuclear energy is mostly contributed in electricity. Nuclear energy is the third source of electricity in the United States (Steiz, 1985). After coal and natural gas, nuclear energy is a great source for electricity. Other countries are using this resource as well. Cuba and Argentina sing a contract for nuclear energy. They signed an agreement calling for collaboration between both over nuclear energy (Reuters, 1986). Cuba first nuclear energy plant is now under construction on the Bay of Cienfuegos in south-central Cuba (Reuters, 1986). This agreement calls for trade between both countries (Reuters, 1986). The agreement also came with nuclear power stations, security, and radiological protection as well in the conversation of food (Reuters, 1986). Second, nineteen percent of the United States electricity comes from nuclear energy (Steiz, 1985). Coal is thirty-seven and natural gas is thirty percent. Nuclear energy might be third, but it is a good natural resource for electricity. How does nuclear energy produce electricity? The nuclear reactors produce and control the releases of energy from splitting the atoms of uranium. Uranium-fuelled nuclear power is a clean and efficient way of boiling water to

make steam which drives turbine generators. This is how electricity is produce from one of the top five resources. Sanders (2005) quoted, Ill take nuclear energy any day. Third, nuclear energy produces a low amount of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a danger to people if they only breathe it. The low produce of carbon dioxide from nuclear energy can save people lives. The low amount of C2O also makes nuclear energy not a cause for global warming. Many believe nuclear energy is the cause for nuclear energy, but with the low produce of C2O their no comparison between the two. Nuclear energy is keeping the world health. Lastly, the contributions nuclear energy can do in the future. Nuclear energy can produce might be the number source of power. That twenty percent can move up eighty percent. Global nuclear generation capacity increased by 4.2 gig watts (GW), or 1.1 percent, to 373.1 GW and the number of operational reactors also increased by two units to a total of 437 nuclear reactors worldwide. Nuclear energy is becoming stronger than ever. Nuclear energy has more major part in the future. Nuclear energy can prevent future war and reduces dependence on oil. This contribution can be good. This factor is determined on how we use this energy in future. In conclusion, nuclear energy can be having its pros, cons, and contributions in the world. The way nuclear energy is the third natural resource for electricity; nineteen percent of the countrys electricity comes from nuclear energy and its low production of carbon dioxide. This is a good resource that will affect are future.
