Overview of Projects for EDUC 6331 Needs Assessment Action Plan Evaluation We have a smaller budget this year according to lower enrollment. We want to provide students at all grade level extra help during afterschool and Saturdays tutorials. We need to make some budget movement to plan for our tutorials starting January. Professional developments have been given every month during early dismissals. However, teachers were not interested and often did not see the needs of it. Survey was sent out to teachers at all grade levels to determine their tutorial schedule starting January. The needed budget was calculated in order to determine exactly how much we would need. Suggestion was made to principal to make movement budget between federal funds in order to cover tutorials for the whole school.

Third grade reading data and assessment

Third grades reading scores have always been lower than fourth and fifth grades scores.

Instructional Strategies Convention was planned for teachers to share their teaching strategies that work in their classrooms. Teachers were rotated in small groups within many stations to learn what other teachers were doing successfully with their students. Third grade reading common assessments and benchmarks were analyzed. Third grade team has been supported with created teaching activities and STAARcloned-questions

Teachers were asked to reflect and provide feedbacks to improve the next events. Most of teachers really enjoyed the interactive aspect of this professional development.
