With this chart I can positively reinforce the super behavior that I see, and everyone else gets

to see it too! It also gives several different options if they have to move their clip for sad behavior. A clip will be used to indicate students behavior for the day. Im going to hot glue ribbon on the back so that I can hang it in my classroom.

A successful classroom management system often includes rules, positive reinforcement (rewards) as well as consequences. Students are rewarded for showing positive behaviors. When students show negative behaviors or break classroom rules they receive a consequence such as taking away a privilege. The following are rules that I will enforce in my classroom:

Cycle 1

Cycle 2 I will allow my Cycle 2 students to come up with the class rules. This will be done with my guidance but allowing them to set their class rules. I believe that when rules are set by the students they are better followed.

If I earn __________________ then I will be rewarded with ______________________. This chart may be used as a daily contract for students who have difficulty following directions, staying in seat, and working quietly.

Students will be rewarded certificates, computer time, and no homework for one day and get a change to dip in the mystery box. When students follow classroom rules they will be rewarded accordingly.

When roles are assigned to students by the teacher, students will be given a paper plate hat to wear as they carryout their roles. The roles will be rotated each time an activity is done. Giving each group member the opportunity to act out each role. Examples of hat.

The use of learning contracts leads students to become self-directing and more responsible for their own learning. The following are learning contracts I will use in my centers:

Every Monday students will be assigned jobs to do which requires them to be class monitors for one week. This will be rotated giving each student the opportunity to take part. This will allow the students to develop their responsibility skills and to care for their class environment. These shirts will be hung on a fish line that will be tied at a window. On the clothes pins the names of the children assigned to do the task will be written.
