No' SEF iots t tailtal / sE-l.-The following draft of rules which the Government of Maharashtra proposes to make in exerbise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 23 read with sub-section (B) of section 6 ofthe Maharashtra Seif-financed Schools (Establishmerit 3nd.lesulltign) Act,2072 (Mah. I of 2013) and of all other powers enabling it in this behall is hereby published as required by sub-section (I) of section 28 of the said Act, ior information of all persons likely to affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft wifl be taken into consideration by the Government of Maharashtra on or before the 1gft day of April 2018.
Aoy objections or suggestions which may be received by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra, school Education and sporh Department, Madam cama Road, rlutatma Rajguru chorvk, Mantraiaya Annexe Building, Mumbai 4oo oB2, from any person with respect to the said draft before the aforesaid date will be considered by the Government,

DRAFT RULES
(Establishment and Regulation) constitution of the scrutiny committees Rules, 2018.

l.

Short title.-These rules may be called the Maharashtra Self-financed Schools Definitions.-(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,_

(o) " Act " means the Maharashtra Self-financed Schools (Establishment and Regulation) 4ct,2072 (Mah. I of 2013); (b) " Chairperson " means the Chairperson of the scrutiny committee; (c) " Deputy Director " means the Regional Deputy Director of the School Education Department; (d) " Deputy Education Officer " means the Deputy Education Ofiicer of the District; (e) " Government " or " state Government " means the Government of Maharashtra; (fl " meeting " means a meeting of the scrutiny committee; GI) " member " means a member of the scrutiny committee including the chairperson and the member-secretary; (D) " member-secretary " means the member secretary of the scrutiny committee, (2) The words and expressions used in these Rule but not defined shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act. 8. Qualifications of the Chairperson and. mernbers. 1) The Chairperson of the scrutinv committee shall be the Divisional Deputy Director of the-( Education and the Member Secretary shall be the Deputy Education Officer (Secondary). Department.

(2) The members shall not be below the rank of Education Officer of the Education

4. Powers and duties of the scrutiny cornmittee.- The scrutiny committee shall exercise the following powers and perform duties, namely :(o) to hold meetings as and when required; (b) to exercise all such powers assigned under the said Act; (c) to follow the directions given by the Government, from time to time, in consonance with the provisions of the Act; @) to carry out scrutiny of the proposals received from inspecting officers.

Association of persons with scrutiny committee.- (1) fiie scrutiny committee may take assistance of any person possessing special knowledge or experience for advising it or attending to any work on its behalf for the purpose of effrcient performance of any of its functions under the Act. Duties of the Edu.cation Officers.-Tl:.e Education Ofiicer of the respective District shall submit the report of the functioning of the school to whom permission have been granted under the aforesaid Act to the Government through Director, from time to time.
