BLOCK LANGUAGE
A variety of English which has a much simplified grammar, often reduced to the use of noun phrases alone, without verbs, e.g.: Daily Express, No entry, Parking for buses only. Block language occurs in many different situations , but it is mainly associated with brief written public messages, such as road signs , advertising slogans, titles and headlines. (Leech,1992)

Eg. There is fire on the bridge. Fire on the bridge

My speed is 12 knots. Speed: one-two knots.

BLOCK LANGUAGE
1. There is a vessel crossing. 2. The tide is rising. 3. There is a gas leakage. 4. There are tankers transfering. 5. My radar is not working. 6. You can pass.
