What is at Sta-e
1t the end o the Spring se%ester 2015 our $hapter received a letter ro% 'ational in or%ing Beta Xi that we had one year to pay o our current debt to 'ational in ull or our 'ational $harter would be revo-ed with no e:ceptions! "ver the past ew %onths the undergraduates and Board have had to ace this harsh reality head on! 1n ad>ust%ent in our %ethods and thin-ing have put everyone on the sa%e page and we encourage you to >oin as well!

When the Board was or%ed in 2007B we wal-ed into a %ess that was un-nown in a or%al sense to the 7ndergraduate %e%bers! 1 one ti%e ee o C#1<!00 is supposed to be paid to 'ational prior to graduation! It was encouraged to pay this o in your irst year as an initiated Brother! &his ee covers your initial entrance into 'ationals co%puter data baseB your " icial 1lpha Sig%a ,hi pinB your " icial 1lpha Sig%a ,hi Boo- and certi icateB and also covers Insurance we have with 'ational as well as $onventions we attend! +uring the Fall o 200< the house had 7 Brothers -eeping &he "ld )al alive! 1s our nu%bers grew hopes or a saved Beta Xi were high! 1s the years progressed there was nobody chec-ing into why 'ational never had good news to share about our $hapter! &hus in 2007 the Board was or%ed to see what had happened to get us into at the ti%e a %oderately poor situation! 1s we chec-ed the boo-s we saw that there had been Brothers ro% the past couple o decades that personally waved their inancial obligation to pay or their 'ational recognition! Si%ply put they enjoyed the free ride and didnt look back. &o be very clear the 2 or three Brothers that were not paying as the years progressed added up! 0now that the *a>ority o the 7ndergraduates were paying but there was no syste% in place to %onitor the pay%ents received@ 1s inancial tur%oil with 'ational sur acedB the condition o 71 Spruce had also hit her brea-ing point! "ver the last two decadesB loodsB guest and Brother abuseB and (ero accountability have now caused &he "ld )al to be at the %o%ent unsa e to occupy! It is very clear that all alu%ni have a personal connection to the ?ouse! Its the place %any o o called ho%e or our years at ?artwic-! "ur social eventsB ritualsB and epic stories happened at 71 Spruce! But this in or%ation is not intended to bring e%phasis on the ?ouse! I we lose our $harterB which is at sta-e right nowB there will be no purpose to throw %oney into the house! 1 house does not %a-e a FraternityB the Brotherhood does@

&o date all 56 Brothers are currently on a pay%ent plan to this "rgani(ation! $harlie Salo%onB current Board &reasurerB is a %onitor on our $hapters account! By using 4egFi we have cut out all %iddle%en in regards to inancial collections or ?ouse IentB Brotherhood +uesB and Bills! In the Fall o 2016 all unds needed or 'ational will be collected through 4egFi as well! 1lso in the Fall o 2016 $hapters across the country will be billed based on the average nu%ber o Brothers recruited! e:9 Spring we get ; new ,ledges and in the ollowing all we get 16! We will only be billed or the average nu%ber we recruit! &his is very bene icial to us as we have a chance to grow and not get hit with our usual high insurance pre%iu%! 'ational dues can be paid on ,ay%ents ,lans that all %e%bers are currently set up with as well! We have %ade the step in the right direction or a stable utureB what we need to do now is %aintain a level o integrity and accountability!
