Experience and Memory

Sometimes, there are just things that you will always remember. There are good experiences and bad ones. I would just like to share about one of my most memorable experiences. This experience of mine is still pretty recent. In the last week of December 2013, my family and I travelled to Laoag, Ilocos Norte together to visit my grandparents. We just relaxed and had fun. We went to a few tourist spots such as the Kapurpurawan, the light house, and the windmills. On our last day of the trip, we went to the sand dunes at sun set. My older brother and I rode the All-Terrain Vehicle, while the rest of the family stayed near the car taking pictures and eating. After the travel with my brother, we went back to the starting point where a sand hill was located. We went up and started sand boarding. My brother took the first turn, then I followed. Sand boarding just made me forget all of my problems. In sand boarding, you are only supposed to ride straight downwards. It was really fun. However, there was this small spot with grass and so, I tried to go to the side. My left leg slipped off of the board so I tried to get my right leg off as well. My right leg didnt free and my knee bent inwards. It didnt really hurt that time, so I did it again twice. In those two tries, I did it smoothly. When I went back to the car, I started to feel some pain in my knee. It started swelling. When I got back to Manila, around 45cc of fluids was taken out of my knee, and the doctor confirmed that I had a sprain and torn patella retinaculum. I just cant forget this. Right now, its stopping me from playing football, my favorite sport. If only I didnt sand board anymore. If only, I wore some protective gears. If only
