Cris and Liza are best friends since elementary days.

Now, they are studying the same major in a big university in New York. They are both intelligent and talented but the difference between the two is that Cris always hit the books every night while Liza always crams the night before the exam. Cris have to study very hard because she got a full ride to university, thanks to her good grades in high school and she has to maintain high good grades. She must always ace a test. On the other hand, Lizas family is rich. She doesnt care so much about university. She always cut class and sometimes flunked the tests. *ACE A TEST get a very good grade. Howd you do on the chemistry test? I aced it! *CRAM it means you study a lot in a short period of time. Are you going to the party tonight? Nah, I have to cram for my history test. *CUT CLASS/DITCH CLASS it means you skip class without permission. Im gonna cut math class so that I can finish this project for biology. OK. Ill tell the professor youre sick.

*DROP A CLASS it means you stop taking that class. Im really stressed out this semester. Im thinking of dropping a class. *HIT THE BOOKS is to study. I gotta go hit the books. I have a final exam tomorrow. *POP QUIZ a surprise quiz. We had a pop quiz in philosophy class today. I was completely unprepared! *FLUNK A TEST is to fail. Ive flunked economics three times. Really? Maybe you should get a tutor. *SLACK OFF it means that you get lazy and dont work hard. A lot of students start to slack off near the end of the school year.
*FULL RIDE it means they have a scholarship that pays for 100% of their education. She got a full ride to the state university thanks to her good grades in high school. *PULL AN ALL NIGHTER it means you stay awake the whole night, usually studying. I had to pull an all-nighter to finish writing my paper for history class. *KNOW-IT-ALL someone who annoyingly thinks he knows everything Max is such a know-it-all. He thinks he knows everything. *TEACHERS PET the teacher's favorite student

Mary is totally the teacher's pet. He gives her a good grade no matter how poorly she does.
