Process as much as product

Quality over quantity

The Process

1. Explore personal interest and get into groups 2. Unpack the central idea 3. After research return to this and create group-based central idea and choose three lines of inquiry

Now that I know so much about this issue, how can I take action? What is my action plan? How can I suggest others take action?

How will I take action?

What issue do I want to explore? What transdisiplinary theme will I use as my lens?

What is my purpose?

What do I want to learn?

What questions do I have? What are my concept questions? What do I want to pursue further? What is my new central idea and what are my three concepts?

Have I completed my weekly reflections and the final reflection? Did I get feedback from my group members, my teacher and my ment or ? Did I assess myself using the transdisciplinary skills rubric?

To what extent did I achieve my purpose?

What resources will I use?

What resources do I need? Where do I find those resources? Are my resources reliable? Are they varied? What interests me? Do I need to go back and re-define my purpose?

What information will I put on the display? And how will I organize it? In what other way will I present my information? Am I presenting the most relevant and important information?

How will I know what I have learned?

Have I found enough information to answer my concept questions? What is most interesting? Do I have more questions? How can I find out more information?

How best will I learn?

Students set goals, follow timelines and meet with mentors each week

Something for us all to remember

Inquiry does not always LOOK productive. Discussion and thought are hard to see. Time and space are essential when wondering and considering our plans. (Exhibition booklets and binders will show understanding and application of skills more than the final product.)
