Stefan Humpl studied Geography at the University Vienna and worked for the
Institute for Industrial Research until he began as co-founding partner with 3s
Unternehmensberatung GmbH (www.3s.co.at). Dr. Humpl is managing director
and partner of 3s Unternehmensberatung GmbH. His main topics are higher
education development concerning labour market requirements, consulting of
curriculum development and strategic orientation of educational institutions
(vocational education and training as well as higher education), but also quality
assurance in education. 3s acts as a consulting enterprise for many Austrian and
international projects for the support of educational policy (e.g. regional studies
for qualification demand, development of the National and European Qualification
Frame, development of the Continuous Vocational Training Survey). 3s supports
the Austrian Labour Market Service through information about job and
