DEFINITION OF WELFARE STATE

According to Encyclopedia Britanica, welfare state is concept of government in which the state plays a key role in the protection and promotion of the economic and social well-being of its citizens.
PAS introduced its welfare state idea in 2008 after opposition coalition won its biggest victory in 12th General Election.

Generally, PAS version of welfare state is different from liberal welfare state that has been practiced in countries like Sweden and Norway The differences can be seen in policy, objective and vision.
PASs definition of welfare state is a country that prioritize welfare and comfort of the people as a main agenda for nation development.

CHARACTERISTICS OF PAS WELFARE STATE To ensure doctrine separation of power between executive, legislation and judiciary is respected To include relationship between one man to another in just manners and relationships between human and God. Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah as main reference in implementation of welfare state. Leaders must possess strong religion belief and they must have good administration and management skills Citizens and nation must contribute to nation welfare
