The inspection of waste management in lokawisata baturraden,banyumas regency
year of 2009

Lokawisata baturraden is public place that visited by many peoples. From


the habits of visitors if come to a region always bring their stock. So with this
meter visitor as one of the elements of potential waste. Waste defined as a
material that is not longer needed by the human. The goal of this research is to
obtain a clear and evident about waste management in lokawisata Baturraden start
from waste evocation to waste management system.
Method used in this research was descriptive research. The subject of this
research was taking samples from merchants 10% and from the number of
merchant totality ≥ 100 peoples. Data were collected by observation, interview,
and measurement. Data processed by editing, coding, tabulating. Analysis data
used in descriptive, that is describe the research results with the tables analysis
and narrative. Compared the theory about waste management with field condition.
Research result saw that waste evocation came from human activity and
environment maintenance. The trash that in lokawitata baturaden were 108 with
percentage fiber trash 87,50% good category and drum trash sufficient category
by percentage of 62,50%. Collection phase in TPS (the final waste disposal),
according to observation result got value of 58,33% good category for TPS (the
final waste disposal) near the ticket window above, 41,66% categorized less well
for TPS middle of bus station , and 58,33% south side near ticket window or the
junction include good categorized by percentage of 90,90% and final waste
disposal include good categorized by percentage 87,50%.
The conclusion from this research show that waste management in
Lokawisata Baturaden is qualified, but there is still lack of waste management
such as there is not utilization and processing of waste, there is not waste
separation between organic and inorganic waste , author expected need to provide
separate rash between organic and inorganic waste and also add sanitary staff
who has a duty in waste management directly.
