Foulger-Pratt Contracting, LLC completes construction of the Citron apartment community in Silver Spring, MD

Located in the heart of Silver Spring, Maryland is the Citron community with 222 upscale units consisting of efficiency, one-, and two-bedroom apartments. Citron offers its residents the best modern amenities and social lifestyle while achieving LEED Silver certification. The project broke ground in August of 2011 and was opened ahead of schedule in April of 2013. Citron is a 272,500 square-foot wood-frame structure over an underground concrete parking garage. The exterior is articulated with two colors of siding with brick and stained concrete accents. Design of Citron was completed by SK+I Architects with Foulger-Pratt Contracting leading the effort through its preconstruction program. In order to give Citron the high-density urban concrete-frame look, the building design incorporates aluminum balcony railings and other metal design elements.
