Copy this simple diagram of the circulatory-respiratory system into your science notebook.

Label the HEART and BLOOD VESSELS of the CIRCULATORY system, and the LUNGS and TRACHEA (WINDPIPE) of the RESPIRATORY system. You do NOT have to copy all of the blood vessels exactly; just make sure that blood can circulate to all the extremities of your body (fingers and toes and brain). If you have time, make sure you have veins (BLUE) and arteries (RED) in your diagram. Every part of the body should have an artery running to it and a vein running away from it. Arteries carry red blood (with oxygen) toward cells; veins carry blue blood (with CO2) back to the heart.
