Swing & Spin Shock Absorber (Old Style 1V6P)

The older style CAMS1V6P machine has 4 shock absorbers which cushion the movement of the Swing gun and the Spin action of the Setter Gun. These shock absorbers have a life expectancy of about 8 months to a year before they need to replace. You will hear a distinctive knocking sound coming from the movement of the Guns as the Swing and Spin, this knocking noise will cause the stones on the nozzle tips to shift or be thrown off the nozzle as the shock absorbers wear down.

There are 2 Shock Absorbers for each gun, 2 smaller guns cushion the Swing Gun, and 2 slightly larger shock absorbers will cushion the Spin Gun. When a shock absorber needs to be replaced, it is a good idea to change them all out at the same time.

Replacing Shock Absorbers:

Tools Needed: 1) 10mm Combination Wrench. 2) 14mm Combination wrench.

1) Turn your Air Switch to the OFF position. 2) Loosen the 2 Nuts on each side of the Mounting Bracket for the Shock Absorber. 3) Unscrew the shock absorber out from the bracket

4) Mount the new shock absorber and set the nuts but do not tighten until you have adjusted the shock absorber.

The shock absorbers have to be adjusted so they cushion the Swing and spin of the guns or the guns will knock too hard into the Stopper screws (Black Bolts) and stones will be flung from the nozzle tips.

Adjusting the Shock absorbers position: Before securing the Nuts to our new shock absorbers you will need to adjust them so that the gun is cushioned properly during operation. To do this we will actuate the movement of the guns (Swing gun left and right movement, and spin gun rotation) 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Turn the Air switch to ON. Navigate to the IO_W menu on the main screen. Use the arrow buttons to place the cursor onto the specific gun movement (As shown below) Adjust the shock absorber until the knocking noise is not heard Secure the nuts to the shock absorber.
