What are lifespan activities, and how are they integrated into todays curriculum?

Lifespan activities are activities that have been added into secondary curriculums and are continuing to grow. Lifespan activities are usually individual or dual activities that can be used for a lifetime and not just in school. They have been integrated into todays curriculum by the Lifetime Sports Education Project which was sponsored by AAHPERD (Shape America).

The value of lifespan activities and sports is crucial to this society because it gives students a chance to participate in activities outside of school, to stay active, and get into a routine where these activities become apart of their everyday lives.
