The Future of the World of Microbiology

The scientists in the future are planning to make a cell. They are trying to create one without another cell. And you know when a virus goes into a cell, the cell will explode. The scientists might send a virus into a body and make it go to a cancer cell and the cancer cell will explode. That is the way to cure cancer. But no one has done that yet.

EXPLORE
A HIDDEN WORLD !

Microscopes
Microscopes that Anton Van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723) made were meant to see microorganisms. It was really small compared to the microscopes that we have now but it was good for looking at small organisms and pond life cells.

A Hidden World
As you can see, all the cells in your body in really important. They have a role that takes part in helping your body. It is like a hidden world that no one has seen or heard of before.

EVEN KNOW IT. TRY TO IMAGINE HOW CELLS CAN HAVE A SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE AT LEAST 0.01 BIG.

Why are Cells Important?

Cells are important because they have an ability to keep your body from getting sick. Without a cell, there will be no human in this world. Thats why cells are important for our body.

Types of Cells in Us
There are many different types of cells in our body. These include: white blood cells, red blood cells, skin cells, bone cells and nerve cells.

Micro-organisms & Multi-celled Organisms

In our body there are multi-cellular organisms and unicellular organisms. The multi-cellular organisms are the: animal cells and the plant cell. The unicellular organisms are the: virus, pond life cell and bacteria.

Red blood cells are shaped in a disk shape and the white blood cells have an irregular shape. The skin cells have a round flat shape and the bone cell have cross bracing structure.

The white cells kill the viruses in our body. It sticks to the virus and parts of the virus explodes. Its like a war between the virus and the white cells.

Find Your Way Around a Cell

There are billions and trillions of cells in our body. The cell contains the cell membrane, the nucleus, the cytoplasm, the vacuole, the chloroplast and the mitochondria. The cell membrane is the wall of the cell and it protects the cell. The nucleus is in the center of the cell. the mitochondria converts food into energy. and the vacuole stores energy. The cytoplasm holds everything together.

Micro-organisms - Good or Bad?

Some micro-organisms are good and bad. The virus is bad and if a virus comes into your body, the white blood cells will come for an rescue. But the bacteria, there are some that are good and some that are bad.

How Do Cells Work?

Cells work as a team like us. Its like a war of cells but just that it is in our body. Each cell has a role. It is very important to have a cell working and doing their job in your body. For example, the red cell has a role to carry oxygen and carbon dioxide. A cell also have different sizes.
