Salamanders

History
Salamanders were the first aquatic vertebrates to colonize on land. They live in the Americas and in temperate zones of Northern Africa / Asia / and Europe.

Godzilla!
Salamanders come in all shapes and sizes and its important we keep them around. This is a Chinese Giant Salamander.

Helpless
Salamanders are virtually helpless from people. Camouflage is their only defense mechanism but that doesn't help them when their habitat is being destroyed.

War
Were not at war with them so why are they almost extinct? Salamanders are losing their habitat due to human population growth. Too much competition for food also plays a role.

No Elbow Room
One of the problems is immigration to one zone or habitat. The habitat exceeds its carrying capacity and as a result, salamanders die.

Salamanders are harmless to people.
We need to help the salamanders build their population back up.
