CRITERIA TO EVALUATE TEACHING MATERIALS


It should It should reflect the uses suitable to in present and the learners future for the need. It learners. It is to should ensure that the match the materials may aims and help equip objectives of students to use the language language program . effectively.

They should take account of students needs as learners and should facilitate their learning processes.

They should have a clear role as a support for learning.

Content -suitability for the students background and cultures Practicality -pupils understand the material and can do it by their own or teachers guide

Clarity - Materials should be clear, big font size and suitable for their eyesight.

How the instruments can evaluate?


Level of learners
Accessibility -means easy available -their age and interest, have appropriate stories and books.

The instruments to evaluate and exploit the teaching material.


Textbook appraisal is not a once-only activity. When a coursebook is selected, its success or failure can only be meaningfully determined during and after its period of classroom use. Learners are not taught in a vacuum, but come from somewhere and are proceeding towards specific educational goals and future training.
