Henry Head Counselor Buckingham Charter Magnet High School 188 Bella Vista Road Vacaville, CA 95688 Dear Mrs. Henry, The years I have spent with Buckingham Charter Magnet High School have been an amazing experience in helping me determine and prepare for my future. There are many experiences that have taught me to be aware of things such as deadlines, working paces, different types of bosses who expect different things, and how to manage myself in an appropriate, businesslike manner. This letter is to help me acquire approval for my senior portfolio and successfully pursue my future in the United States Army. Graduation is just around the corner and I believe I have acquired the skills to not only get through the next four years of my life but succeed in the world laid out for my generation. I have not only learned education wise but also applicable wise. Ive learned so much in my four years at Buckingham more than I ever thought I could ever learn at any school. I have always had a problem following rules and submitting to authority. My discipline was not where it should have been all throughout elementary and middle school but Buckinghams staff and teachers helped me find ways to tone down my natural rowdiness where other schools would have just had me in some sort of detention for my sometimes infringing of the rules. Ive also learned how to collaborate and work together with others because before I have always been the lone wolf in the project doing most or all of it for the others in the group. Ive learned so much from my years and these things were only the tip of the ice berg. Buckingham has made me think a lot about what I am doing with my life and forced me to take precautions and set goals for my future. In the next four years I want to be just getting out of the Army and looking for a good diving job because the job I have reserved in the Army is the M.O.S. 12 Delta or Army Diver. I chose this job because there are big job opportunities when I leave and I can make a career for myself and support myself and maybe a family. I hope this portfolio reflects all the hard work I have done at Buckingham. I anticipate your response and feedback on this portfolio so I can know how to improve if I ever need to make a future portfolio.
