Antarctic Verses
Delia Musso
(Translated by Waldemar Fontes)
I approached
To the open bay
Blue receptacle
bristling with latencies
Invisibles rowers
to the sound of their oars Silvana Ferrero reading a selection
hit the water of verses of Mrs. Delia Musso
emitting heartbeats
of giant drum
In the distance,
under blue dome
superb and harmonic
white sculptures
ending the summer sleeper
began their finite pilgrimage
The sound
of an unknown recitation
it was straightening
from that bay
like an Arabic Nun
sacred ink cup
concealed poet
who sang for me
