March 17, 2014 To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter to give my enthusiastic support for Tristan Glade as she pursues employment as an educator. It has been my pleasure to serve as Tristans site teacher for the past several months. During our time together, I have witnessed great growth and dedication to her chosen profession. Tristan possesses many talents that will make her successful in the classroom. One of her greatest strengths is her classroom management. Tristans previous experience as a behavior interventionist gave her insights on how to handle students who venture off task. Tristan also has the ability to relate to the students and to show that she cares about their success in school. She is willing to go out of her way to spend extra time helping students grasp difficult concepts. Another one of Tristans strengths is her ability to be reflective. After she teaches a lesson, she ponders on the lesson delivery and on how well it was received by the class. This personal analysis will serve her well as she develops lesson plans to meet the needs of her students. Tristan is innovative. She engages her students using technology, inquiry, and collaborative strategies. These are just a few of her talents that will help her deliver quality instruction and that will serve her well as she tackles the demands of managing a classroom. In addition to building caring relationships with her students, Tristan also has shown the ability to get along well with other student teachers and faculty members. She is a team player that shares her knowledge and resources for the benefit of all. Recently, Tristan developed a science unit that she willing shared with student and veteran teachers. I am confident that she would collaborate to strengthen her grade level team and the school community as a whole. I encourage you to take the time to get to know Tristan as I do.
