Actually, girls really do get interested more in you once you are in a relations hip.

That's explainable through simple psycholgy. When you are single, you are available. You have no commitment to anyone. When y ou however get into a relationship then, you not only choose that girl over all the other ones, you also basically rejected every single other girl since you on ly want to be with her. Now unconciously, they ask themselves why you choose her and not them, so they develope the need to get your approval. I had a psycholod y student explain me this, not sure if i got everything right though.
