After completing the Internship Portfolio, I learned so much about the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) and

myself as a teacher. I was thrilled to meet the expectations of the FEAPs at the pre-professional level as well as demonstrate a commitment to standardsbased instruction for this assignment. The teaching experience I have had in this internship has been so beneficial and I feel extremely lucky to have learned what I have and accomplished what I have as well. Over the course of the internship, I collected a vast amount of teaching and learning artifacts. I used this Weebly site as my portfolio showcase which demonstrates all my accomplishments and shows how hard I have worked. This portfolio is very well organized according to the FEAPs and I chose more than one showcase teaching and learning artifact for each FEAP. This was such a wonderful and creative process in presenting the artifacts and I provided a caption that discusses how it demonstrates each accomplishment of the intended FEAP. I will be sharing the teaching and learning implications of my internship experience now throughout this reflection. I think it is amazing to look back and reflect on this experience I had and see how much I learned about teaching and about myself. I really give everything I have into teaching and I dont hold back. I am not an expert teacher yet, but I know I am getting closer every day and I enjoy everything I learn to become a better teacher. I always think of what Professor Van Voorhis had said to me in one of the first classes I had with her and that is we are lifelong learners and I will always express that to my students. For this project, I was required to follow the FEAPs in order to complete the portfolio and I found it very simple and easy to follow. I was very fortunate that almost every teaching experience I had in my internship fell under one of the several FEAPs implications.

I aligned instruction with state-adopted standards at the appropriate level of rigor and sequenced lessons and concepts to ensure coherence and required prior knowledge. I also designed instruction for students to achieve mastery and selected appropriate formative assessments to monitor learning. I always want my students to be successful and I created lessons that would not only challenge students but, allow them to show their great potential. I used diagnostic student data to plan lessons and developed learning experiences that require students to demonstrate a variety of applicable skills and competencies. I find that creating a caring and supportive learning environment was and is the best way to meet students learning and regular needs. I organized, allocated, and managed the resources of time, space, and attention. I also managed individual and class behaviors through a well-planned management system. I always conveyed high expectations to all my students while respecting the students cultural linguistic and family background. I modeled clear, acceptable oral and written communication skills and maintained a climate of openness, inquiry, fairness and support. I am very good with technology and think it is important to use while teaching so I integrated current information and communication technologies. When it came to accommodations, I adapted the learning environment to accommodate the differing needs and diversity of students. I was lucky to have utilized the current and emerging assistive technologies in a special needs classroom that enabled students to participate in high-quality communication interactions and achieve their educational goals. Instructional delivery and facilitation is every teachers bread and butter and is one of the most important things to craft and determine as a teacher. During my internship, I delivered various engaging and challenging lessons for every subject. I also deepened and enriched students understanding through content area literacy strategies, verbalization of thought, and

application of the subject matter. I identified the gaps in students subject matter knowledge and modified my instruction to respond to preconceptions or misconceptions. This is something I need to continue to work on as it is one of my weaker areas. I related and integrated the subject matter with other disciplines and life experiences and employed higher-order questioning techniques. I applied various instructional strategies and resources, including appropriate technology, to provide comprehensible instruction and to teach for student understanding. Differentiate instruction is very essential and I based this differentiation on assessments of student learning needs and recognition of individual differences in students. I always supported, encouraged, and provided immediate and specific feedback to students to promote student achievement. I also utilized student feedback through formative assessment to monitor instructional needs and to adjust instruction. I have heard throughout my internship that assessment drives instruction which I believe can be very true. In the classroom, I analyzed and applied data from multiple assessments and measures to diagnose students learning needs. I informed instruction based on those learning needs, and used it to drive the learning process. I designed and aligned formative and summative assessments that match learning objectives and lead to student mastery. I was able to use a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress, achievement, and learning gains. I also modified assessments and testing conditions to accommodate learning styles and varying levels of knowledge. I found it very important to share the outcomes of student assessment data with the student and the students parent/caregiver(s). I applied technology to organize and integrate assessment information. During my final internship I realized that continuing my professional improvement was just as important as any other of the FEAPs implications. I was able to design purposeful

professional goals to strengthen the effectiveness of instruction based on students needs. I examined and used data-informed research to improve instruction and student achievement. I also used variety of data, independently, and in collaboration with colleagues, to evaluate learning outcomes, adjust planning and continuously improve the effectiveness of the lessons. I collaborated with the home, school and larger communities in school field trips and celebrations to foster communication and to support student learning and continuous improvement. I also engaged in targeted professional growth opportunities which was the Bucket Filling training and reflective practices. I implemented the knowledge and skills learned in professional Bucket Filing development in the teaching and learning process. I undoubtedly adhered to the Code of Ethics and the Principles of Professional Conduct of the Education Profession of Florida and fulfilled the expected obligations to students, the public and the education profession. In conclusion, I learned a vast amount of knowledge from my internship that I will be using throughout my teaching career. This experience has been a wonderful journey that has taught me so much about the real world of teaching and areas that I need to work on to become an expert teacher. I know that I have many strengths when it comes to teaching and I will use my strengths and what my mentor has taught me to work on my areas of development. I realized after completing this project and observing the Evaluation process at my school that they are very similar and I see that the FEAPs will ultimately play a huge part of my teaching career. I have a lot to look forward to and I know that my future is bright as a teacher and educator of elementary students.
