Elyce Cole Common Core Standards-Based Electronic Exit Tickets With the introduction of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) across the country next school year, there is a need to hold students and teachers accountable for each standard that will be assessed !ne way to consistently allow for classwide "ro#ress monitorin# is throu#h the im"lementation of electronic exit tickets $ would like to utili%e the new class set of Chromebooks that my school district recently "urchased in order to make sure that e&ery student can "artici"ate 'y #oals will be to assess student knowled#e of the standards throu#h exit tickets usin# Schoolo#y, Socrati&e, (oo#le )orms, S'*+T Clickers, Wall Wisher, and ,oice Thread $ would like to use a different ty"e of exit ticket each week to determine if there is a difference in student "erformance or en#a#ement $n other words, do students "erform better or worse de"endin# on how the exit ticket is "resented- Since exit tickets are meant to inform the instruction of teachers both at the end of class and leadin# into class the next day, $ feel that the immediacy in the results of the electronic exit tickets will successfully inform my instruction $ also want to determine if the im"lementation of re#ular standards based exit tickets will reflect student knowled#e of the standards in the #rade book $ want the information to be able to inform myself, my students and "arents in a clear and effecti&e way )inally, $ want to use rubrics based on each Common Core readin# standard that my readin# de"artment has been de&elo"in# o&er the course of this year $ am ho"in# to use the data $ ha&e #athered to share how my de"artment members could utili%e the "ro#ress monitorin# tools of electronic exit tickets in their own classrooms $n the end, the outcomes of this "ro.ect should show which exit ticket "ro#rams are more effecti&e and en#a#in# to inform both myself and my de"artment about which exit ticket would be the best for their classrooms
