PROCEDURES
Students will be called to the carpet Teacher will read Max Takes the Train Teacher will ask students the sequence of the modes of transportation that Max took to get to Zekes Teacher will write the sequence on the board Teacher will ask why didnt Max walk to Zekes Students will give various answers Teacher will tell the students the Amazing Words for the week Students will listen for the Amazing Words in the song Through the Jetway Students will be given a pre-made transportation pass

Eval: Students will be asked why Max didnt walk to Zekes. Students will answer why he didnt walk and how the other modes of transportation got him to his destination.

Notes:

Students will write their name and draw their picture on the front Students will draw a picture of each mode of transportation that Max took to Zekes Students will be called to the carpet Teacher will ask how the different modes of transportation were different Students will compare and contrast the modes of transportation with scaffolding from the teacher Students and teacher will talk about the different ways Max got to Zekes Listen to Through the Jetway Students will listen for Amazing Words plane and jetway Students will clap when they hear the Amazing Words Students will be asked to use the new Amazing Words in a sentence Students will be given a piece of construction paper to draw triangles, rectangles, ovals, circles, and squares on The students are then to decides which method of transportation they want to make with the shape The students will cut out the shapes they drew and paste them on a new sheet of construction paper making a picture of their transportation Students will be called to the carpet Listen to Through the Jetway Students will listen for Amazing Words subway and tunnel Students will clap when they hear the Amazing Words Students will be asked to use the new Amazing Words in a sentence Teacher and students will discuss the importance of transportation The teacher will ask students how did people get around before cars Teacher will show a PowerPoint of old and new means of transportation Eval: Students will compare and contrast the different modes of transportation.
