Required Classes
Homeroom This class is the first class students will have. Homeroom is just a warmup class in the morning to get students brains working and thinking creatively. Teachers will very depending on which nest students are placed in. Mathematics Students will learn and successfully use complex math in everyday life and how math is very important in today's culture. Teachers will very depending on which nest students are placed in. English Language Arts Student will have the chance to learn how the English language works and how to use it properly in papers/essays. Language Arts will also show the importance of correct grammar, spelling, and correctly writing a paper. Teachers will very depending on which nest students are placed in. Science Students will comprehend and effectively use science to create items that are scientifically and mathematically enhanced. Students will learn to understand how and why the world wonders work. Social Studies Students will understand where a certain country is, the history of that country, and what makes that country important. Students in this class will learn by creating papers, essays, and short summary paragraphs. Teachers will very depending on which nest students are placed in. World Language Casson has many world languages. They offer French, German, Spanish, Arabic and Italian. they hope by offering many languages that students will have an opportunity to learn many cultures, know how to talk, listen and comprehend in that language. This will help students in the future to find a job easier and succeed in talking to others. Teachers will very. Students have a chance to sign up before school starts. Gym/Sport We are one of the top schools nationwide with the best sports programs. We offer many sports opportunities throughout the school year to improve the students enjoyment of life and school. When a student is placed in a sport of their own choice they have the option of not taking gym, instead they will have practice with their team and coach. What activities the students do will be decided by their coach. The coach can direct practice, drills, trust exercises, or other fun activities for the remainder of the hour. Physical

Elective Classes
Music Casson offers many different musics. Which includes band, choir and orchestra. Through these musics, teachers teach students first of all how to play an instrument or sing in key. Second of all they teach students how to work together in order to play a song together. Teachers will very. Students have a chance to sign up before school starts. 2nd World Language Casson offers an opportunity for students to take two languages. They offer French, German, Spanish, Arabic and Italian. By offering a second language teachers hope to help students to comprehend in more than one language. Teachers always while in class ask students. Engineering For the future engineers of the school Casson provides an engineering course that helps students to understand how to use solid works and how to use the basic machines many engineers use. This class strives to teach safety and creative thinking while having lots of fun. This class is taught by Mr. Fix-it Felix Jr. Mr. Felix has a Master's degree in Education, Majors in Engineering, and Minors in Mathematics. Mythological Studies This course offers studies in Greek, Roman, Norse, and Egyptian mythos. Students who join this class will promote patterns between the myths and modern life. They will also see the patterns between the other myths. Students will learn the origin of these myths and why these myths are important today. This class involves projects, tests, and papers. This class is taught by Mr. Bryton Foate. Mr. Foate has a Master's Degree in Education, Majors in Mythological Studies, and Minors in Technology. Art Casson offers an art class that teaches students how to draw what is on their mind and how to mold objects with clay. Also, the class teaches students how to think creatively and critically while doing their projects. This class is taught by Mrs. Holly Crazart. Mrs. Crazart has a Master's degree in Education, Majors in Visual Arts, and Minors in Drama. Creative writing This new class strives to help young authors to develop their writing and spelling skills while having lots of fun. It hopes to help students to be the best writer that they can be. This is taught by Mrs. Veronica Wright. Mrs. Wright has a Bachelor's degree in

Extra-Curricular Activities
Sports offered (Each Sport requires specialized equipment. We send out supply forms with students wishing to participate to let you know what you will need and how much of it you will need. If you do not have the money to rent our equipment the student will either have to raise the money or not be in the sport). If willing to join any athletics talk to our Physical Education teacher Mr. Manly. Swimming There is one indoor pool that is 50 meters (Olympic size pool) and can be split into 25 meters and or 25yds. It has all new equipment and has starting blocks and has a lots of balcony seating and. The pool in the shallow end is 6 feet and the deep end is 12 feet deep. The locker rooms are equipped with warm showers and and automatic ringers for you suits, and also have range of different sized lockers. Baseball/Softball The Baseball field is shared with the softball field and is placed outside. It has an area for "fans" to sit and an area for the players to sit and wait to play. The field does not get used in winter because it is outside, however there may be cancellations due to rain or other weather problems. Lacrosse The field will have the required parts that include- Two Coaches Areas, Special Substantiation Area, Goals, and a large Spectators Area. This field will be placed outside and will be a spring to summer, and fall sport. There will be moveable nets surrounding some areas of the field which will help the loss of Lacrosse balls. Football The field is outside and is only played during the seasonal times (meaning spring, summer, and sometimes fall). It is a junior sized field, not the original giant NLF field, and has too very perfesonsl touch down areas and goals. Their is very nice coverd seating for coaches and "fans" so the players can still play or practice. Just like all our other sports there will be a supplie form that will need to be turned in to get equipment, jerseys, and ect.

Track/Cross-Country The track field will be located right next to the tennis court and football field and will be equipped with hurdles and other items that are unessary to buy on the supplie form. The seating for the track fields is half as small as the football fields seating but also has an overhead covering for spectators. Cross-Country will be in a mix of areas, one of the areas is the optional track field. Dependin on trainer and weather, you might have to run around the near by neighborhoods and back for training. Tennis Like the track field the tennis court is located next to the football field. It is kind of an indoor tennis court, it has walls that the tennis balls can bounce off, but he coolest and newest addtion is the 15 feet high nets on the ciling that catches the ball so it doesn't get out of the court. There are four fields going across and one small area next to it for practing you tennis skills with a Machine it also is the baseball machine practicer. Volleyball & Basketball These sports will be played in the same gym but will played at different times of the season. We do supply basketballs but we do not supply shoes or shorts but we also have team jerseys that have our team logo on it which can be bought in our Casson supply forms. For volleyball we supply Casson T-shirts which can be bought in our Casson supply forms. In addition we supply volleyball balls and we have nets that you are able to set up. Soccer The soccer field is junior sized field with two goals and painted markers and spectator seating on both sides. We offer very few soccer balls for free but you can buy them for sale on the supplie list if you buy them with cleats and a Casson Midle School jersey. Water bottles not just for this summer time sport but for all our outside sports is mentitor so there are no health problems caused by lack of water. Parents for all our outdoor sports are allowed too bring lawn chairs. Environmental club The environmental club at Casson is very involved in the community. It helps to decrease food waste and to protect the wildlife all around the community. It meets every other week after school and tries to fit around sports. If willing to be in Environmental Club students talk to Mrs. Frida Nelson. Mrs. Nelson has a Master's degree in Education, Majors in Earth Science, and Minors in Biology. Chess club Chess club offers the students to learn strategy and that you can't win without sacrifices. Students will have a chance at the beginning of the season to train and warm up against their fellow teammates because later they will be competing against other schools in the state. The Chess Championship is a playoff game, lose once and you're out of the

competition. This activity of brain power is coached by Mr. Bryton Foate. Mr. Foate has a Master's Degree in Education, Majors in Mythological Studies, and Minors in Technology. Forensics Forensics is a program allowing students to improve communication skills in front of a large audience for competition between schools. Most of this EC class is based on speech and writing skills as well as the ability to entertain audiences while delivering a speech. This class in coached by Mrs. Crefase Downton. Mrs. Downton has a Bachelors degree in Education, Majors in Music, and Minors in Drama. Jazz band Band students interested in exploring music composed in various jazz styles would enjoy the Jazz Ensemble. This group is made up of musicians who play the saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, and drum set. They have a choice at the end of the school year to perform at the last band concert. This class is taught by our great band teacher Mr. Andrew Tomason. Mr. Tomason has a Masters degree in Education, a Major in Music, and a Minor in Technology. Mathlets The Mathletes it an opportunity to enrich a student's processing of math to make it into a fun exciting game nationwide. Our Mathletes group is excited to receive any newcomer into the group. This class is coached by Mrs. Drebris Scott. Mrs. Scott has a Bachelors Degree in Education, a Major in Mathematics, and a Minor in Science. National Junior Honor Society The purpose of National Junior Honor Society is to recognize and create an enthusiasm for scholarship,community service, leadership, citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in students. Membership is based on the criteria of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character. If willing to be in NJHS talk to Mr. Sefter. Student Council Student Council is a lead by students and is involved in division making, community service and activities at Casson. This group hopes to make a fun and safe learning environment and to give the view of the students while making decisions. In order to be in this group you must be a good role model and pass the interview and application. If willing to be in Student Council talk to Mrs. Turnip. Battle of The Books Students read 60 books with a group up to 3. Then students battle each other. The team with the most points by the end of the season will do to the next level and compete. This teaches students responsibilities and trust because they have to trust that the members

in their team read the books that they need to and responsibility because you finish your books on time. The supervisor of this club is Mrs. Desert Mortive. Mrs. Mortive has a Bachelor's degree in Education, Majors in English Language Arts, and Minors in Science. Yearbook Committee The Yearbook committee is where students get together and find and take pictures of students in Casson and put them in the year book. They also decide what kinds of things go in the yearbook, and they are in charge of making sure everything is organized and that every picture that was needed for the yearbook is was taken and was up to there standards and the princables.
