Procedures To start get the students attention I will ring a bell and tell them that it is time to clean up and come to morning meeting. I will then start to count down from ten if they are not there by 1 they are late. Next I will introduce that todays greeting is the handshake greeting. The special helper will begin and will continue around the circle. I will reinforce good eye contact. I will then tell students that it is time for share time and when they are ready to share put up the thumbs up sign. Students share based on the day of the week. After sharing they will take 2 questions/comments. I will reinforce students asking questions using who, what, where, when, why, and how. Next I will introduce the activity. Today we will do the 10 game where students count to 10 around the circle saying 1, 2, or 3 numbers. Whoever says 10 sits down. I will then ask students to get into their movie theater seats. I will ask the special helper to come sit up front to help me run calendar activities using the slides on the SMARTBoard. I will have the special helper pick students to call on as we move through each slide to give them a sense of leadership. The special helper will pick someone to read the morning message.

We will next do the attendance and calendar. o I will ask a student to read the date. o I will ask the students what picture comes next in our pattern. Next we will look at the number of days we have been in school. o I will ask them how many days we have been in school. o I will also ask how many hundreds, tens, and ones there is. We will then look at the weather chart. o I will ask the special helper what they think the weather is today. o I will ask the class what they can tell me about the weather graph.
