This Coopr installation was generated by the coopr_install script. This script uses the Python virtualenv utility to create an isolated Python installation that leverages the system Python installation. This allows the user to install Python packages along-side Coopr without requiring administrative access to the system Python installation. Additionally, a Coopr installation also exposes the Python packages that are in the system Python installation. For example, Python packages like SciPy are typically installed in the system Python directories, and Coopr installations contain a Python environment that knows about these packages. Note that the Coopr installation contains a 'bin' directory with a variety of Python and Coopr executables. If the 'bin' directory is put in user's PATH environment, then the bin/python command can be used to work without Coopr without further configuration.
