ANIME
Anime began at the beginning in the 20th
century.
The oldest anime is a two-minute clip made
during 1917.
• By the 1930s, animation became an
alternative format of storytelling
• 1970s saw a surge of growth in the popularity
of manga many of them later animated in to
anime.
• In the 1980s, anime became more accepted in
the mainstream in Japan (although less than
manga), and experienced a boom in
production.

of Anime

• wide variety of facial expressions to denote
moods and thoughts.
• Body proportions emulated in anime come
from proportions of the human body.
• Different styles depends on
different artist
