B: Summarize the AUTHORs main point or idea- at LEAST 1-2 paragraphs The weather closely tied with the ocean. Oceans are responsible for currents, and changes can cause severe damage. For instance in 1998, storms and droughts were caused by Pacific Ocean changes. With constant season changes, there are changes of warm water flowing over

cold water; and vice versa. This in turn can cause monsoons that are not continuous rainfall. Sudden changes or failing currents can cause an impact on economies, jobs, and families. C: Write a reaction paragraph to the article stating your own thoughts on the topic, using specific citations from the article to support your views The weather and oceans are uncontrollable. Although many can predict the weather and patterns through technology, they cannot stop nature. This article is helpful for those who do not know much about the weather. It was detailed enough for public to be educated yet not completely dissatisfied. I enjoyed it for its information and diagrams. It is an eye-opener for people who are in ignorance to the environment. So What? It is important to know of the oceans and its effects on weather. What if..? What if there were to be no El Nino? Says Who? The author and their various sources. What Does This Remind Me Of? This reminds me of Smog City.
