The mission of the Douglas County School Library Media Program is to support the county curriculum, to provide quality print and electronic resources, to assist students and staff in becoming effective users of information, and to promote lifelong learning. GENERAL INFORMATION Media Center hours: Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Students can check out books for two weeks at a time. Students begin the year being allowed to check out one book at a time. Up to five books may be checked out at a time if students are able to successfully return books on time. Reference materials may be checked out overnight only. Students may also check out netbooks overnight if their parents sign a permission form. Students may use media center computers for school-related projects. Students may print black and white pages for a fee of 10 cents per page or 50 cents per page for color printing. Students are responsible for paying a late fine of 10 cents per day for overdue materials. Students get a four-day grace period on late materials. Students are responsible for paying the costs of damages to books and must pay for any books lost.
