Lets do some

counting.

HINDU-ARABIC
NUMERATION SYSTEM
Everything was not always HA
this or HA that.
There existed several numeral
systems before HANS.
Some examples are the
Egyptian and Babylonian.
Both were unique as far as
properties.

PRE-HANS
Differing systems means differing symbols.
Differing symbols means no continuity.
Babylonians are a prime example.

PRE-HANS STRUGGLES
Time spent looking for the
key to unlock the code.
Math becomes even more
difficult.
Change needed to happen.
Cue HANS to come riding in,
over several hundred years,
to save the day!!

STRUGGLES PERSIST
HANS is the positional decimal
system that uses ten, originally
nine, symbols.
Hey, thats the number system
we use today! Thanks HANS!
If further explanation is
needed, it is the base ten
system where numbers can be
represented as easily as 408.

HANS ORIGINS CHAPTER TWO
HANS did not save the day
that easily
The exact origins are as not
crystal clear
He is a true mosaic of
several influences and
contributions.
HANS took hundreds of
years to finally gain that
important foothold.

SUPERHERO HANS
HANS is the system we deserve,
and the system we need.
Its simplistic ingenuity was the
key to its success.
The place value and base
system allowed much easier
computation.
HANS was able to progress
mathematics with its easily
accessible properties and
universal access.

BUT WHY HANS?
QUESTIONS FOR ME OR HANS?

*SPECIAL THANKS TO HANS*
