Course Outcome
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Comprehend the concept and theories
underlying the Islamic Art
2. Able to appreciate works of Islamic Art of the
Malay World
3. Able to apply the knowledge in their studio
works
Course Description
This is an introduction course to the Islamic Art of
the Malay World. It covers the definition and
fundamental concepts and basic theory in Islamic art.
The discussion will be on various aspects of Islamic
art from formalistic and contextual approach
