Tutored students in WIN club, after school homework club. Aug 2013-May 2014. Designed, planned and implemented engaging lessons on Prefixes/suffixes, Contractions, Open/Closed Syllables, Fractions, Subtraction, Food Chains for Second Grade Mar-May 2014. Integrated technology through use of Livebinder, ConnectEd, DiscoveryEd, PearsonSuccessnet, and other specialized software. Demonstrated knowledge of subject, illustrated my passion for teaching, created a safe loving environment, communicated high expectations for students, and delivered structured engaging lessons.
FIELD EXPERIENCES 5 th Grade/Language Arts and Integrated (Social Studies & Science), Forman Elementary, Plano, Aug 2013-May 2014. Collaborated with 5 th grade team to plan Integrated lessons for grade level, allowing for accommodations of ELL, ESL, and special needs students. Chaperoned fifth grade boys during the annual camp out at Collin County Adventure Camp. Adapted and modified lesson for special needs students in morning block. 2 nd Grade/Core Subjects, Forman Elementary, Plano, Aug 2013-May 2014. Facilitated grade level discussion in Book Club (Getting to Got It), Chapter 6 Spatial Orientation as well as contributed to discussion on other chapters. Utilized picture Vocabulary Cards and incorporated concrete objects for lessons planned to accommodate ELS and special students. Managed, motivated, and achieved success with an especially challenging 2 nd
grade class.
