Key Math-3
Key Math Revised
Has a new norming sample. The questions and
scoring havent changed.
The test content has not been updated since
1988.
The updated norm tables provide independent
tables for students with disabilities.

Key Math 3
Includes 372 full color forms, new subtests, updated
norms and is linked to interventions,

Basal and Ceiling Levels
Basal Set: Three consecutive correct responses
which immediately precede the first incorrect
response. Basal item is the lowest numbered item
in the basal set.
Ceiling Set: Four consecutive incorrect
responses. The ceiling item is the highest
numbered item in the ceiling set.

Validity Information
Information on Test Validity

Subtests are compared against one another and
against other tests. They have found the
correlation to be greater than .60
Key Math 3 was tested for internal consistency
reliability (consistency across test items), test-
retest reliability and alternate form reliability which
are different sets of items taken on different
occasions.
This test was created to align with state
standards. It was reviewed both quantitatively
and qualitatively for validity.
The validity was reviewed by over 400
educational practitioners and the National Council
of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)
Strengths of the Test
It measures many different math concepts
Has different versions of the test A and B
Has a computer program that scores the test
electronically
Large age range 4-21
Test questions san a variety of contexts
Has many subtests

Weaknesses of the Test
Can only test one student at a time
Subjects are very specific
Comments
I would recommend this test because it test
students on many different math abilities.
It is an appropriate test to assess students
general mathematical ability especially their
strengths and weaknesses in different math
content areas.
