Albany County Executive Proposing Criminal Legislation for
Not Reporting Accidents/Spills Immediately

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will be joined by Environmental Advocates
and the Sierra Club to announce he is submitting a proposal for legislation that would
call for stronger penalties on the county level for failing to immediately notify authorities
in the event of an accident or spill of hazardous materials.

The announcement will take place at 3 p.m. today at Ezra Prentiss Homes on South
Pearl Street, Albany.
