Gres Porcelain Tiles:

Porcelain tiles are generally made by the dust pressed method from a combination of
superior quality raw materials like porcelein clay, Feldspars, silica sand, and others
that have specific properties for a particular class and finish. These are very dense
impervious, fine grained with a water absorption factor of less than 0.5% making them
generally frost resistant. They are generally classified under Body Group- B1a. They
usually have a PEI rating of 3plus on scale of 0-5. (Class 3 and above according to
ISO 3006-1998).
They have the following major characteristics:-

Ceramic Tiles (Non Porcelain):
Ceramic (Non Porcelain) tiles are generally made by from a combination of quality raw
materials like fine white or red clay, Feldspars, silica sand, and others that have
specific properties for a particular class and finish. They could be either single fired
tiles(Monocottura) or Double Fired Tiles (Bicottura).The latter is generally limited to
wall tiles only.
These tiles could be made glazed or unglazed. Because of the ease of adding color
pattern and texture to the glaze the designs that could be derived is virtually unlimited.
The color of the unglazed tiles results from natural clay of the tile body and or the
pigment added to the clay. Generally these tiles are Hard Strong Hygienic and Easy to
clean. They usually have a PEI rating of 0-3 on scale of 0-5. (Class 0-3 according to
ISO 3006-1998).
They have the following major characteristics:-
x Water absorption%: > 10%.

x Modulus of breakage: >12N/mm2 for wall and > 16 N/MM2 for Floor.

Gyproc ™ plasterboard core is non combustible and provides thermal insulation. It
does not absorb heat, and the coefficient of heat is lower than other decorative
material such as concrete, brick, glass, tiles etc. Gyproc ™interior wall systems
provide sound attenuation between 35-80dB. Plaster boards do not contain asbestos
